Hi, I am glad to help you with the perceptions of the space inside the OP-1 Case, if you look the inside of the case has the Instrument in the bottom half and ONLY the knobs in the top.
Plenty of room for the USB cable and some earbuds, in a small cloth bag if you are worried about scratching the OP-1.
Small rubber plugs would sort the holes in the end!

Hi there, thanks for the note.
The cost of $150 covers "ordinary" hardwoods such as Maple, Red and
White Oak, Walnut etc, exotics would cost a little more but I can get
most lumber that comes from a sustainable source.
If you have a particular exotic in mind I can write you a quote after
I have made enquiries to my suppliers and make you an OP-1 case to
special order after I receive a firm order from yourself.
Some exotics might take a while to deliver and the lead time from
receiving the Lumber to the application of the last of 8-10 coats of
hand rubbed finish is 3-4 weeks at the moment due to orders for this
item.

Hi, thanks for the ideas.
I am looking into other hinges.
Latches are a source of much debate...the way the case is shaped is
good for it to stay shut without a latch but I can add a non magnetic
one on request.

lookin forward to some photos of the wooden case. I would love one that has a small foot print and simply protects my op-1 while it jostles around in my bag.
